Getting ready for 2011!

Today is the last Monday of 2010...next Monday we will be welcoming a brand new year.

We wanted to close the year with a Glamorous and Plush outfit. We decided to go with an all Black and Silver ensemble. Given that we are closing the year, why not add a beautiful and elegant Black Faux Fur Coat. It is the perfect way to walk into any celebration in Style and Welcome 2011.

We hope that enjoy our look of the week and the way we dressed up our new Best Friend = Anna in Black on Black.

On the countdown ‘till Christmas

At the Queenland we love Christmas and the Holiday Season. Time to celebrate and spend time with family and friends. It is also a perfect occasion to be thankful for all the good times we enjoyed during the year.

As Christmas is around the corner, we find ourselves looking for presents and trying to be ready for the celebrations. We might find that we are rushing to try and get everything on our To-Do list done in time....but it is not an excuse to forget that we can always look great and glam when running errands.

This week’s look was inspired by the Holiday Season and it is a pretty easy look to put together. We paired a classic Jean wash with a simple white shirt. The denim vest with Zebra details adds glam without being over the top. Another great option to Glam this outfit is to add a great necklace. Keep your coat handy and you are ready to step out in style and get all the items on your To-Do list crossed out by the end of the week.

This week’s look was inspired by the snow and the holiday cheer that the snow brought to us. We wanted to welcome the snow with comfort and style. Who's that girl???

If you have taken a quick peek at the pictures from our Spring/Summer 2011 collection runway at VFW, you might be wondering who is that beautiful model that walked the runway and closed the show with the Queen of Jeans’ Designer.

Well, that beautiful woman that rocked one-of-a-kind pair of Jeans by The Queen of Jeans is none other that Rupinder K - a breast cancer survivor. The Queen of Jeans was extremely honored and thrilled to have Rupinder walked the runway wearing our unique Jeans.

Our mission is to design and create Jeans to flatter and enhance women bodies. Moreover, we want to make sure that our princesses will not only look fantastic but will also be comfortable. But as a woman, we cannot ignore the fact that Breast Cancer is affecting many of us out there. For that very reason The Queen of Jeans is committed to spread the word and raise awareness about Breast Cancer.

We are moved and inspired by the courage and determination of powerful women that have won their battle with cancer.

We hope that this story inspires you to live life to the max and enjoy each day. Live life in color and with passion!!!!

Golden Classic

As we are quickly approaching the Holiday Season we were inspired to bring to you today a comfy classic look that will kick start your holiday mood.

Inspired by the fallen maple leaves and the earthy colors that we see all around the city, we paired our Anna in Black Classic Jean with an animal print top. But given that it is getting chilly out there, we added a beige scarf with a brown casual jacket. We love the contrast between the animal print and the texture of the scarf. The finishing Glam touches comfy shoes and beautiful gold necklace. Pick and choose the shoes that best fit your daily routine and make sure to wear comfy shoes when you go Holiday Shopping.

Blue for the Fall Blues :)

After a Week of Fashion and Glam, we could not help it but to add a touch of Spring inspired color to our Weekly outfit. Following on the theme of romantic and flirty tops, we decided to pair Anna in Baby Blue with a Blue Top and add a romantic see-through layer. Fall is all about layering and we love the romantic look that is achieved by combining simple and rather casual pieces together.

Glam it up or Glam it down with your accessories and shoes and you are ready to inspire your friends to pull an effortless romantic look.

Welcoming November and Vancouver Fashion Week

We are welcoming November and Vancouver Fashion Week today. Vancouver Fashion Week kicks off tomorrow with a Gala Event that will serve as the perfect venue for a week of Fashion and Glam. The perfect excuse to Glam up and enjoy the Fashion scene in Vancouver.

Following on the theme of color during Fall, our look of the week features our Signature Dark Night Blue Wash with a hint of color paired with a crop Jacket that will take you from work to play. Another example of how easy it is to put together a versatile outfit - just add fun accessories and you are ready to get together with your friends.

You might be surprised by this week look of the week, right? Well, we were surprised by the wonderful non-fall weather we have experienced lately in Vancouver. Since it is rather unusual to have beautiful sunny days when Fall is already here, we decided to play along and create a cheerful and colorful look.

This week we are bringing together a piece from our new collection (Anna in Dark Night Blue, Luv fit) with a cheerful pink top. We will admit it, we love pink at the Queen of Jeans. We played with Pink and our signature Dark Night Blue wash to create an outfit that will make you happy while looking absolutely sexy.

Having fun with Grey

It is official!!!! - as of last week fall is here.

We love colors at The Queen of Jeans we love colors, however there is no reason why one could not have fun dressing up and spicing up the neutral colors we tend to wear during this season. There are many ways to have fun and enjoy fall/winter fashion trends. Even better yet, there are tons of things that you could do by layering and adding cool and trendy accessories to your outfits.

This week, we decided to take our Anna in Grey Cloud Jean from Anna’s closet and create a fun and glam outfit by layering couple pieces and adding touches of glitter here and there - a perfect combination that either Anna or Sophie could easily pull off when going out with friends or just for fun.

Classy? Sexy? Sophisticated or Fierce ? = Look of the Week

It is hard to believe but FMA Fashion Week Pop & Culture came and went really fast After lots of hard work, The Queen of Jeans Fashion Show took place on September 15th 2010 at Club 560.

The Queen of Jeans and the Royal Team enjoyed 4 days of Fashion, Music and Art and were ready to open the night with an energetic and colorful show - produced and styled by Jennifer Wendell from Stylist 4 Styles. Our Fabulous models strut the runway and showcased the versatility and many options of Jeans we offer to today’s woman. Jerrica Santos, showed the attendees BC talent at its best when she closed the show with her song “I am that girl”

We were honored and happy to be showcasing our line during the last day of Fashion Week - before the talented BC designer Malene Grotrian closed the Venue with an amazing Fashion show that included the performance of singer Sara Lynn.

We have been asked in many occasions what type of woman we have in mind when we design our Jeans. The answer is simple, we design for the real woman. We know that women come in different shapes and sizes and with different fashion styles. One of the objectives of our Fashion Show was to show you that we have you covered regardless of the Shape, Size or Fashion Style.

This week, we decided to take our Look of the Week to the Catwalk and show you that our designs will fit your body and lifestyle. There is no reason why a Classic woman could not wear a low rise jean or a super Sexy girl could not wear a Mid Rise Jean. The key is “The Fit” - A Jean that fits properly will be your best friend and will take you from day to night for any occasion.

FMA Fashion Week - Day 2

As you might know by now, The Queen of Jeans is proud to be one of the BC based Designers showcasing her Fall Collection at FMA Fashion Week Pop & Culture. As we prepare the last minute details for our Fashion Show; we wanted to share some of the pictures we have taken so far.

Transitioning to Fall

Fall is almost here and we are getting ready to transition into our Fall & Winter outfits. It is a season traditionally filled with dark hues - but it does not have to be boring.

At the Queen of Jeans we love colors and we love to bring bits and pieces of those colors into our Fall outfits to fill our lives with energy and passion - this week’s look reflects just that.

We have taken our Black Jean and dressed it up for the fall season - even though we are ready for the cool weather the hints of Yellow brings us that energy and passion that makes life interesting.

Getting ready for Fall

As much as we love summer we know that it is coming to an end and Fall is around the corner.

September is always very exciting - many things happen this month. For once it is back to school; the new year is about to start and at the same time more adventures and moments that you will share with your friends. In the fashion world, September starts Fashion Weeks all over the globe. New styles and new trends are hitting the catwalk making us jump into a world of possibilities and new looks.

Vancouver is of course on board with Fashion Week and from September 12th to September 18th FMA Fashion Week Pop & Culture is taking place. The Queen of Jeans is part of this great event. We will be showing our Fall collection on September 15th at 7:30pm. It is open to all Vancouverities interested in Fashion; so make sure you come to see our Collection.

Given that this week we are showing our first look of the week for the month of September - we thought that it would be a good idea to show you how at The Queen of Jeans we are welcoming Fall. Our First High School Princess: Look of the Week

The Queen of Jeans is very happy and excited to introduce her First High School Princess: Sivan.

She loves arts and sports as much as she loves to spend time with her friends. On her own words:

“My name is Sivan, I go to Magee Secondary school and I live in jeans! A few interests of mine are traveling, photography and singing. At school I can generally be found in the drama studio rehearsing for an upcoming play, the art room touching up an art project or on the field warming up for a soccer match. Of course above all, I'm happiest when hanging with my friends. Outside of school I play competitive racquetball. Never heard of the game? Its an intense, fast paced sport that has allowed me to travel all over Canada and meet tons of people. Although it seems like I am always on the go, my nature is layed back and easy going.”

The Queen of Jeans is very excited to welcome Sivan to our Queenland!. We wanted to share with you this week, our Princess Look as the Look of the Week. As you know, our products are designed for real women.

We love the way our Princess created her outfit using Anna in Dark Night Blue as her center piece - so we decided that there was no better way to get ready to go back to School that showing you how our Princesses create outfits with our Jeans.

Black Jeans: a "must" have

We are featuring Anna in black this week. Granted, it is summer... but a pair of black jeans is a piece that should be found in your closet. You can dress them up or pair them up with casual pieces to create a totally relaxed and comfy look.

Anna in black paired with a leopard corset is one of our favorite looks. It combines the simplicity and classic look of the black jeans with the glam and daring touch animal print. This is one of Anna's fave looks - even though she is a very classic gal.

The Power of women getting together and connecting

Latincouver.ca and The Queen of Jeans teamed to sponsor a night of shopping, connecting and empowerment for women. A small group of talented ladies came together to shop for South American designed and made products; but most importantly all of them were moved and motivated for the same goal: Support each other and lend a hand when needed.

Embracing the concept of “Plaza Latina” - a personal marketplace filled with products to help women plan for their summer closet needs. From Jeans (TheQueenofJeans.com) to lingerie and swimming suits to high quality shoes.It was definitely a night to remember and the beginning of more to come.

It was powerful and energizing to spend time with this group - the night went beyond just shopping. A warm and energetic ambiance, great finger food and drinks served as the perfect background for women to connect and share ideas, experiences and advice. The night turned into a friends get together with the goal of making this event just the beginning of more opportunities for women. The ultimate goal is for women to leverage the power of unity.

To all the amazing women that participated on this event: THANK YOU. We are looking to have more opportunities to connect and make a positive impact on our communities.

Local Talent: Jerrica Santos

The Queen of Jeans is happy and proud to support local talent. We are firm believers on helping our community and support the wonderful talent that surrounds us.

The Queen of Jeans has been working with Jerrica Santos since last year. We have been impressed with her performances and stage presence. When you see her perform you can see she was born to sing. When we learned that she had been selected by Virgin Radio as part of the “Best of BC” program we were thrilled and excited. Being part of “Best of BC” is giving other people in BC to listen to her tunes and discover that we have an upcoming amazing singer right here in our back yard.

We are very proud of you Jerrica. We continue to support and we are sure that there are other great things around the corner for you.

Looking for a new castle!!!

The Queen of Jeans has closed its FlagShip Store in Richmond Centre.


Unfortunately, Richmond Centre has undertaken an interior renovation project and has force us to close our store.

We are looking for a good location for our next castle. Keep checking our website for up-to-date news.

On the mean time, you can always find our fabulous Jeans in the Lower Mainland at the Great Retail stores that carry our products.

February is here!!!

Traditionally February is a month to celebrate love and friendship. However, this year we have more events to celebrate during February. The year of the Tiger is here and we will celebrate its arrival on the 14th.

For those of us in BC, there is one more reason to celebrate this month. The 2010 Winter Olympic Games are set to start very soon and we will welcome the world to beautiful BC.
